The Wood River Women’s Foundation conducts its Pooled Grant Fund process once each year beginning in the fall. We consider applications from nonprofit organizations in Blaine County.

Grants Timeline

The WRWF grants process has been modified from previous years in order to complete the vetting process during the winter months. Letters of Inquiry will not be solicited this year. This modification eliminates one step in the previous process, thereby reducing the amount of paperwork required from the applicants and from the grants committee volunteers reviewing the applications.

Monday, October 3, 2016
An invitation to submit an Application will be emailed to all eligible nonprofits on WRWF list; a notice is also placed in the newspapers.

Monday October 17, 2016, 8:30 AM
An informational meeting will be held at Light on the Mountains for nonprofits regarding the Application process.

Monday, November 14, 2016
Applications are due from nonprofits. Grants Coordinating Committee (“GCC”) will review the applications to verify all forms are completed correctly and meet the 501c3 requirements. Once the applications are reviewed and corrected, if necessary, the applications will be sent to the 16 members of the Application Review Committee (ARC = GCC plus 10 subcommittee chairs) for review. ARC members will have approximately 5 weeks to review all of the applications.

Subcommittee chairs will arrange meetings to train their committee volunteers. At least one member of the GCC will attend the training meetings. The meetings may occur at their convenience prior to distribution of applications to the subcommittees.

Friday, January 6, 2017
The ARC meets to discuss all of the applications and narrow the applications that best meet the WRWF criteria. The funds available will also be taken into consideration. The nonprofits that have made the cut will be notified and told they will be contacted to arrange a site visit.
